Brandt Information Services Acquires Terra Technology Group

NEW YORK, March 17, 2022Brandt Information Services (“Brandt” or the “Company”), a NexPhase Capital-backed company and a leading provider of outdoor recreational licensing and camping reservation software, today announced the acquisition of Terra Technology Group (“TTG”), a leading SaaS technology provider for outdoor licensing and recreational solutions.

Since 2011, Brandt has grown strategically and organically to become a market leader in outdoor recreational support. The Company provides innovative software, as well as a technology-enabled suite of services, including call center, fulfillment, credit card processing, billing reconciliation, and digital marketing. These services enable public agencies to more effectively engage and grow consumers of hunting & fishing licenses and parks reservations.

With the addition of TTG’s platform, Brandt will be able to provide even more choices to best meet each agency’s needs. Under the Brandt name, Brandt’s Go Outdoors platform and the Terra platform will serve more than 18 partners in the U.S. and abroad.

TTG Welcomes Latest Addition – Applications Developer Ryan Mercer

Ryan Mercer is the newest member to join Terra Technology Group (TTG). Mercer joins TTG as an Applications Developer.

“TTG is excited to add Ryan to our development team,” commented Mark Meisel, Senior Applications Developer for TTG. “Ryan’s previous experience and his genuine and enthusiastic interest in TTG’s work will continue to help our team grow and deliver for our state fish and wildlife agency clients.” 

Mercer has worked for close to a decade as a software solutions engineer and web designer in several industries, including health care. He has training in multiple development languages, holds certifications in web design and application development, and has served as project lead on numerous projects yielding innovative solutions for previous clients. 

“I am excited to join TTG because it offers me an opportunity to continue to grow professionally and to join a new industry. I hope to expand my skill set and contribute to TTG’s future success,” commented Mercer. “I feel like I immediately connected with the culture at TTG, and I look forward to working with our team on conservation technology projects for our clients.”

Ryan started with TTG on Feb. 1. He will serve many of our clients in implementing the Terra Outdoor Solution and leverage his unique skill set to help develop innovative features for the platform. He resides in Lexington, SC, with his wife.

TTG Celebrates Staff

Terra Technology Group (TTG) recently celebrated a year of growth in 2021 and recognized the efforts of its dedicated staff, who helped the company achieve success. Established in late 2020, TTG accomplished many of its goals in its first year of business, including adding new clients such as Nebraska Game and Parks Commission, and expanding the features of its industry-leading platform, the Terra Outdoor Solution.

“TTG entered the market in late 2020 with some ambitious goals, and I am proud to recognize the contributions of our staff that made those goals a reality in 2021,” commented TTG President Caroline Howell. “Each member of our staff has demonstrated great leadership and work ethic in their roles, and we are very grateful and appreciative of their efforts.”

To support its growing team and client roster in 2022, TTG recently promoted Evan Yett and Mark Meisel to management roles. Additionally, Alexandra (Lex) Yanuk was promoted to Senior Developer.

TTG Joins National Wildlife Federation and Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife to Discuss “Delivering on Conservation by Leveraging Technology”

(Hunt Valley, MD) –  State fish and wildlife agencies can leverage technology to conserve wild resources more effectively and improve their customers’ experiences in the field. Aaron Kindle, Director of Sporting Advocacy for the National Wildlife Federation (NWF) and host of NWF’s Outdoors Podcast, welcomed Samantha Pedder of Terra Technology Group (TTG) and Steve Bergmann of Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife (ODFW) to discuss this topic. The trio demonstrated how technology could help make the experience of getting outdoors for hunters, anglers, and other outdoor recreationists simpler, while also helping state fish and wildlife agencies to deliver on their conservation missions more efficiently. They also discussed recent legislative efforts that would make it easier for state agencies to modernize their systems and why conservationists of all types should support their agencies in this pursuit.
