(Hunt Valley, MD) On Thursday, June 17, 2021, Terra Technology Group’s (TTG) Samantha Pedder will present in a Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion panel at the 2021 Professional Outdoor Media Association (POMA) Conference in Franklin, TN. The session is titled “Open Arms: Incorporating DEI Aspects in Our Brands” and will also feature content by Marchelle “Tig” Davis of “My Sister’s Keeper Defense” and Justin Morrissey of the National Shooting Sports Foundation.
TTG and its state fish and wildlife agency clients such as the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife, Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife, West Virginia Department of Natural Resources, and Maryland Department of Natural Resources serve a growing diverse constituent base totaling more than 3,000,000 customers. TTG works with its clients to understand their customer segments, both established and emerging, and then reviews their collective efforts to ensure that these segments are represented in marketing campaigns and included in the agencies’ outreach efforts.
“For state fish and wildlife agencies to continue to deliver on their missions of conserving fish and wildlife resources in their states, they must be relevant to their customers – new and experienced anglers and hunters alike – and this has often been a challenging task. The agencies’ marketing and technology efforts present unique opportunities to meet the customers where they are and communicate to them personally and inclusively. TTG serves as a partner in helping those agencies accomplish this goal and believe we can do even more in connecting to the growingly diverse group of people interested in the outdoors,” commented Pedder.
“Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion are core values of our company,” commented TTG President Caroline Howell. “As we build our brand in the outdoor industry, we will maintain our commitment to keeping DEI efforts at the forefront of our work. Our staff represents a diversity of life experiences and talents – our executive team alone is 66% female, an uncommon occurrence in our industry – and our staff range from aspiring to avid recreationists in all outdoor segments. We know that our strength in successfully serving our clients starts with our team, and we value the diverse perspectives and experiences they bring to their work. With their help, we will continue to do our part in building an equitable experience to help all people get outdoors through our technology and marketing solutions. So it’s not just words we share, but our commitment to the clients and the outdoor recreationists we serve.”
The #POMA2021 conference begins on Tuesday, June 15, and continues through Thursday, June 17. TTG staff will be in attendance to discuss new opportunities with partners.
