(Hunt Valley, MD) – Terra Technology Group (TTG) recently hired Samantha Pedder as Vice President of Marketing. Terra Technology Group is a next-generation outdoor licensing and recreation solution that serves state fish and wildlife agencies and other conservation partners by offering a flexible customer service and product delivery platform that accommodates clients’ evolving business needs. Established in 2020 through an acquisition of JMT Technology Group’s licensing division, TTG brings to the industry advanced technology, strategic partnerships, and opportunities to help its clients recruit and retain customers.
Pedder will help TTG expand its presence in the conservation and outdoor recreation industries and refine its suite of services offered to its current clients. Pedder brings a unique background of education and experience to the position. She has a Bachelor of Science in Wildlife Management, a Master’s degree in Natural Resource Management, and recently completed an MBA in 2018. “We are incredibly excited for Samantha to join our team. She has an infectious energy and incredible passion for helping agencies execute their unique vision. She is an ideal cultural fit with our team which is very focused on conservation and cultivating a love for the great outdoors,” says Caroline Howell, President of TTG.
Pedder commented, “I am excited to fill this role with Terra. I’ve always found myself at the intersection of marketing and technology for my former employers, and it’s a natural fit for my skills and talent. After a decade of service for state fish and wildlife agencies and conservation nonprofits, I am looking forward to jumping in with the team at Terra to serve both outdoor recreationists and our clients better.”
Terra Technology Group currently offers services in West Virginia, Oregon, Washington, and Maryland. Pedder will help to grow TTG’s market share by serving additional states in 2021 and beyond. Pedder joins TTG as the former Director of Operations for the Council to Advance Hunting and the Shooting Sports. At the Council, Pedder facilitated the national movement to recruit, retain and reactivate (R3) hunters, target shooters, and other outdoor recreationists for five years. While serving the Council, Pedder won numerous awards for her efforts, including recognition as SHOT Business’s 40 Under 40 in 2020 and receiving the prestigious Mark J. Reeff Memorial Award for professionals under 35 in 2019 from the Association of Fish and Wildlife Agencies. She also previously served as the R3 coordinator for the Pennsylvania Game Commission and the Manager of Outreach and Diversity for the National Shooting Sports Foundation.
“After working in the agency in Pennsylvania and then alongside all 51 state fish and wildlife agencies for the last five years, I have a vision of what we need to offer our clients and our hunting and recreational customers. I am excited to help R3 coordinators, marketers, and Information and Education divisions leverage the advanced technology TTG offers to evolve their R3 strategies,” Pedder commented. “For decades, licensing software has existed to track point-of-sales transactions and review financial records, but it can do so much more. In working with the team at Terra and our clients, we’ll prove that a license and marketing platform is a powerful tool for agencies as they work to increase both participation in the outdoors and their relevancy to their constituents.”
